Results of Sleep Study
Sleep Study has to be scored first by a registered polysomnographist and then reviewed by
Dr. Bhat. It may a week to do all this before a final report is generated.
One copy of the sleep study report is sent to the Patient.
One copy of the report is sent to the Referring Physician.
If a patient has questions on the sleep study report they need to see the Referring
Physician or Dr. Bhat for explanation
If they have an appointment with their Referring Doctor they need to take their copy of
the test with them for backup.
Only if Dr. Bhat has ordered the study, then make an appointment to see Dr. Bhat in our
office.
Results of the sleep study will not be discussed over the phone.
CPAP
Copy of CPAP order will be sent to the Patient along with the CPAP result.
It is the patient’s responsibility to take the copy of the CPAP order sheet and
result to the Home Health Agency wherever your insurance dictates your choice for CPAP
machine
All patients on CPAP need to see Dr. Bhat every 4 months , otherwise orders for CPAP will
not be renewed.
